I’d like to read more fics involving Tony and Pepper being friends with benefits after IM2. That would be awesome. Instead, there are a ton of them getting married and having kids. Which doesn’t make any sense, because Pepper would be sane enough as to not want to get too involved/attatched to a maniac with suicidal tendencies. But, whatever.

My only “Tony and Pepper have kids” fic doesn’t involve them getting married. And Pepper seriously considered getting an abortion. In fact, the only married couple I feature in the fic (briefly) do not have kids. Most of the pairings are just like… assumed by people to be married, but they aren’t, and some have kids, but only Bruce and Betty got married (because I’m pretty sure Betty would want to give her dad a royal “fuck you”) I think only Tony and Pepper, and then Rhodey and Darcy have kids. It’s been a while since I touched on that fic…

Anyway, yeah, I don’t see them getting married. I’d go for it, if it went canon, but I don’t see it happening. Or if it happened, it wouldn’t be happily ever after.
